Special
position measurement system- selecting type
The
CamCon enables to configure an special position measurement system
additionally.
At the moment you can choose between: SSI, PARAL., INK, MULTI, PPL, TIMER,
AG615,(SIM)ulation and (HIPER)face.
Special position measurement system
- names
Here
you are able to name the selected special position measurement system at will.
Special position measurement system - SSI
Resolution in Bits:
At first, enter the number of required data bits of the SSI position
measurement system. E.g. 9bits for a resolution of 500 impulses..
Offset in Bits:
Enter the position of
the bit with the lowest position (LSB).
Capping:
Here you are able to enter the position measurement system's capping.
SSI- Errorbit
Finish by entering the
SSI-Errorbit's position. For standard rotating shaft encoder manufactured by
the Stegmann company , this position is the bit position 14. At this position a
"0" has to be transmitted.
Special position measurement system - Parallel
Resolution:
Initially enter the parallel-position measurement system's resolution (e.g. 500
impulses).
Input off:
Enter the input of the bit with the lowest position (LSB).
Mode:
In the field "Mode" the encoding of the parallel-position measurement
system is selected. You can choose between Gray=Gray code and Bi.=binary code.
Special position measurement system
- Incremental
Resolution:
Enter the maximum needed number of impulses. If more impulses are counted than
set as resolution, the CamCon restarts counting from "0". If the
movement system was set to "linear" in the position configuration
menu, the CamCon switches to "Clear...". In this case, the resolution
has to be increased, or the actual value must be set to zero by setting a Clear
signal.
Prescaler:
Begin with entering the
prescalers value. he prescaler divides or multiplies the incoming impulses of
the position measurement system with the set value. The following divisors can
be entered: "*4", "*2", "*1", "/2",
"/4", "/8", "/16", "/32", "/64",
"/128", "/256", "/512".
Clear mode:
In the "Clear
mode"-field you can set the functions of the additional inputs C1 and C2.
You can choose between 8 different kinds of function:
"C1 & C2" if input Clear 1 is high and Clear 2 is high too, the
counter is set to zero.
"/C1 & C2" if input Clear 1is low and Clear 2 is high , the
counter is set to zero.
"C1 & /C2" if input Clear 1 is high and Clear 2 is low, the
counter is set to zero.
"/C1 & /C2" if input Clear 1is low and Clear 2 is low too,
the counter is set to zero.
"C1 : W" if input Clear 1 is high , the counter is set to zero.
If input Clear 2 is high no impulses are counted (Wait).
"/C1 : W" if input Clear 1 is low is, the counter is set to zero. If
input Clear 2 is high no impulses are counted (Wait)
"C1 or *C2" The counter is set to zero, if input Clear 1 is high or
the signal at input Clear2 changes from low to high.
"C1 or *C2". The counter is set to zero, if input Clear 1 is high or
the signal at input Clear2 changes from high to low.
Special position measurement system – Multi(turn)
This
position measurement system is used if you have to operate an multi-angle
encoder 4096x4096 (24Bit) with a non binary number of revolutions.
Resolution:
Here the complete required resolution is entered.
Turn - Multiplier:
Here the total number
of revolutions is entered.
Turn - Divisor:
The Divisor for the
relation translation has to be entered here.
Special position measurement system - PLL
The
PLL position measurement system (Phase - Lock - Loop) calculates the position from
interpolarising a single measurement impulse taking the time into account.
Having e.g. a rotary knob connected to an initiator and wanting to know the
actual position at constant velocity (without adding an additional position
measurement system), the PLL-position measurement system is your choice.
Impulse per input signal:
Initially enter the number of steps from initiator impulse to the next
initiator impulse.
Number of Impulses per
revolution:
Enter now the number of
initiator impulses per complete revolution.
Impulse-input:
Enter an input for the
initiator impulse.
Clear-input:
Now enter
Clean-Impulses input. The PLL-measurement system offers you the possibility, to
include several initiators per full revolution. To gain a zero-point, you will
need an additional zero - initiator, which can be connected to the mentioned
input. If you do not want to use a zero-initiator, enter solely a
"0". (For a CamCon DC115 this input is alwaysat Input 2).
Synchronous-Output:
Now enter the output
for the synchronous window, that indicates the synchronous status. If you do
not want an output for the signalisation of the synchronous state, enter solely
a "0" The output will be activated, once the PLL system is operating
in the synchronous modus.
Error-Window:
Enter a range in which
synchronous step-mistakes are tolerated. If an error above the value at this
position is detected, the device imediaty switches to the asynchronous mode.
Special position measurement system - Timer
The
timer position simulation enables generating positions and actual values
without a position measurement system i.e. on time basis. The CamCon then acts
similar to the controller of a washing machine.
Resolution (total time):
Feed in the total number of steps. In our example, 100 steps are required. The
whole procedure will be repeated after 2 seconds (20 ms x 100 steps = 2
seconds).
Time per step in ms:
Feed in the delay time
between the steps. CamCon offers a minimum resolution of 1ms.
Halt-input:
Now enter the input for
the "halt"-signal. This can be used to enable the timer. A
"high" signal at this input triggers the timer, a "low"
signal stops it. In case you do not want a halt-input, just enter a
"0" here.
Clear-input:
Feed in the clear
signal's input here. This makes it possible to set the timer system to 0. A
high signal at this input results in having the timer standing at 0. In case
you do not want a clear-input, just enter a "0" here.
Special position measurement system - AG615
The
AG615 - Single - Multiturn - special position measure creates a Multiturn-
respective utility position measuring system.
Resolution:
Begin with entering the number of revolutions respective turns that are created
at the CamCon.
Utility/Turns:
Put in the resolution
that the CamCon shall process per revolution respectively turn.
Special position measurement system - encoder - (SIM)ulation
The
SIM - position measurement system simulator makes it possible to create
positions or actual time values, without using the position measurement system,
i.e. on time basis.
On the contrary to the timer position measurement system a higher velocity is
possible.
Resolution:
Feed in the total number of steps here.
Impulses per second:
Input the speed
respective number of pulses per second here.
Halt-input:
Now enter the input for
the "halt"-signal. This can be used to enable the simulator. A
"high" signal at this input triggers the simulator, a "low"
signal stops it. In case you do not want a halt-input, just enter a "0"
here.
Clear-input:
Finally enter an input
for the clear signal. his makes it possible to set the simulator to 0. A high
signal at this input results in having the simulator standing at 0. In
case you do not want a clear-input, just enter a "0" here.
Special position measurement system - (HIPER)face
This
special position measurement system is used if the CamCon is equipped with an
incremental position measurement system where an odd-numbered translation of a
gear would cause an increasing measurement error.
Pre-multiplier:
Begin with entering the gear relation by feeding in multiplier and divisor
(e.g. 5/7). Enter the multiplier in this window, the divisor in the next.

every alteration of the edges is counted = quadruplication

Enter the divisor in this window.
Resolution:
Enter the total number
of steps respectively increments that can be counted by the CamCon (e.g. 360).
If the number of counted impulses outruns the resolution, the CamCon restarts
counting from zero on. Anyhow, if the movement system was set to
"linear" before (using the path configuration menu), the CamCon
switches to "Clear....". In this case, either use a bigger resolution
or set the actual value to zero by using a clear signal.
Clear mode:
The function of the
additional inputs C1 and C2 is set in the "Clear mode" field. Eight
different modes of function are available for this purpose.
if the input is high and is high too, the counter is set to zero.
"C1 & C2" if the input C1is high and C2 is high too, the counter
is set to zero.
"/C1 & C2" if the input C1 is low and C2 is high, the counter is
set to zero.
"C1 & /C2" if the input C1 is high and C2 is low, the
counter is set to zero.
"/C1 & /C2" if the input C1 is low and C2 is low too, the
counter is set to zero.
"C1 : W" if the input C1 is high, , the counter is set to zero. If
input C2 is high, no impulses are counted (Wait).
"/C1 : W" if the input C1 is low, the counter is set to zero. If
input C2 is high, no impulses are counted (Wait).
"C1 or *C2" The counter is set to zero, if input C1 is high or the
signal at input C2 switches from low to high.
"C1 or *C2". The counter is set to zero, if input C1 is high or the
signal at input C2 switches from high to low.
General position measurement system
actual value-hysteresis:
This value is needed, to inhibit a wobbling of the outputs during a
turbulent measuring of the actual value. The exact value can be calculated
empirically, should nevertheless be minimised as much as possible or always set
to "0". The hysteresis can be set to anything in between 0 and 1/4 of
the total resolution, without exceeding a maximum of 125 impulses.
Speed-Max:
This menu point is used
to enter the maximum allowed step of the actual value. This enables monitoring
the position measurement system. The value is calculated from the actual
cycle time of a CamCon, the position measurement system's physical resolution
and the machines speed.
Notice:
The resolution must be entered as physical value. If e.g. a position
measurement system with 4096 impulses is put in here and calculated using the
gear (3600/4096) to 3600 impulses, the resolution in the formula must be set to
4096.
Transmission multiplier:
A factor for the
transformation of the measuring range can be entered using the menu point
"position measurement system". This transforms the physical measuring
range of e.g. a shaft encoder to a new measuring range effectively visible for
the user. A translation of 1:1 is the standard setting. The first value works
as a multiplier for the actual value, the second serves as the divisor, by
which the result of the previous multiplication is divided. The total result of
the operation forms the displayed value. A negative value in the
multiplier-field switches the counting direction of the position measurement
system.
This field is used to enter the multiplier.
Transmission-divisor:

This fiel is used to enter the divisor.
Actual format:
Here, you are able to
select the format of the actual value display.
The octhorpes are replacement characters for the display's numerical value. The
additional digits can be used to place additional information as well as the
values unit (e.g. mm, cm, or inch for linear systems). When wanting to display
e.g. a decimal point, a decimal point could be added between the octhorpes
(example: ###.#mm).
The
speed adjustment is used to adapt the device optimally to the speed of
revolutions of your machine. By adding factors, you are able to alter the
velocity displayed here or level the damping.
Factor:
Usually the number of increments respectively impulses per seconds (which are
put out by the position measurement system after being charged by the
electronic gears) is used to display the speed. When wanting to display the
speed using for example turns/min (hour), a specific conversion factor
has to be set in this menu point.
Format:
Here you are able to
enter the format of the display. The octhorpes are replacement characters for
the display's numerical value. If e.g. the maximal value is below 1000, having
therefore only three digits, enter three octhorpes here. When wanting to
display e.g. a decimal point, a decimal point could be added between the
octhorpes (example: ##.#).
100%:
This menu point is used
to enter the maximum revolution of your drive or the speed of the movement.
This value will be used to adapt the speed display, forming the maximum value
of the bar chart displayed in the standard display. It's length displays the
actual revolution compared to the selected maximum revolution in percent.
Furthermore, a speed threshold is set here, at which the standard display
switches from position- to speed-display. This threshold is always 5% of the
selected value (for e.g. 1000r.p.m., the threshold would be 50r.p.m.).
Accuracy:
During operation, the
speed display fluctuates within a certain range. These fluctuations are due to
the measuring method of the speed, since for this purpose a scanning system is
used.
The
menu point "Accuracy" can be used to margin this value to a
maximal limit. A low pass filter is used for this damping, resulting in
smoothing the displayed vales (i.e. a kind average determination). The smaller
the entered value is, the more the speed display will be smoothened. In
practice, a compromise between a dynamic display and making it more easily
readable will have to be found.
Notice: the "Exact" value also influences the speed value, that is
supplied by the outputs or a CP16 respective a PLC's CamCon DC115.
Display:
When wanting to disable
the automatic lock-out the display at the 5% speed threshold, you can choose
between three types of display in this menu point:
"Automatic"
Overstepping the 5%
revolution threshold will have the display switching from position to
revolution display. The bar chart displays the speed in per cent.
"Speed"
The display shows the
speed, using a bar chart to display the speed in per cent.
"Position"
The display only
indicates the systems position. the bar chart no longer illustrates the speed,
but is used to display the position between 0% and 100%, e.g. 0%=0°, 99%=359° .
Switching input:
Here you enter the input
number for change the display
mode.
System:
Is used to define whether the controlled system is a gyrotatory (e.g. excenter
press, packaging machine) or a linear (e.g. toggle lever press, positioning
system) moving system.
Offset:
The Offset is
subtracted from the physical actual value and therefore offers the possibility
to shift the zero point.
Preset:
The path configuration
system enables setting the actual value by applying an input (positive edge) to
a new value (Preset) for both the rotatory as well as the linear system. By
setting the preset value to "0", an external zero signal can be
generated, for example to synchronise the machine's position with the CamCon's
actual value.
Preset Input No.:
Here, you are able to
enter the input number of the specific signal that triggers the preset.
Storage type:
Here you can select the
mode for the preset storage. you can choose between two possibilities:
- "RAM" storage.
The preset value is copied into the device's RAM storage. This means after
switching on- or off the device, the shift of the actual value is gone.
-
"EEPROM" storage.
The preset value is copied into the device's EEPROM and RAM storage. A drop in
voltage does not result in a loss of data.
having
chosen "linear" you will face the following specifications:
Start position:
This menu point is used
to select the desired start of the process range. Also negative values are
accepted here.
End position:
The "End"-
value changes automatically and collects the overall process path by means of
it's position. A manual entry is not necessary.
This
menu point can be used to select the length of the wires between SSI- position
measurement system and CamCon as well as between external in-/output expansions
and CamCon (in meter). This is necessary, since the length of the conduction
dictates the maximum possible serial data transmission speed. The bigger the
selected cable-length is, the slower the transmission gets resulting in bigger
cycle times.
Attention!!
For conductions
exceeding 300m length a specially selected position measurement system as well
as extension modules with altered mono-flop-times have to be used!
Cable length:
Here you are able to
feed in the needed cable length, with a maximum of 1000m.
max DTC:
The maximum delay
time is put out here!
Allocated cycle time:
Usually, the CamCon
works with the shortest possible cycle time. By making in input in the
"cycle time" field, the allocated cycle time can be altered (i.e.
scaled up). This is necessary if, for example:
- when programming a huge number of outputs with time delay or high position
measurement system - resolution, and bigger single time-delays are needed.
These can depend on the available storage range and the cycle time. An
alteration can not be detected, unless the preset value exceeds the actual cycle
time. For this purpose the maximum delay time compensation can be displayed on
screen.
- a position measuring system, that accepts reading the data only at certain
times, is attached.
Actual cycle time:
The actual cycle time
is displayed here.
During offline programming, this refers to the PC - simulation time of 55ms.
Safety output / RUN-Control:
To be able to monitor
the CamCon in case of short - circuits at the output channels or errors at the
position measurement system, a rotating cam can be programmed for a single
output. This output is only switched off in case of an occurring error, and
therefore serves as a safety- respective RUN-control-output. A change in the
program will set the safety output for the short term back.
A "0" in the input field means, that no safety output is programmed.
Send position:
The CamCon offers the
possibility, to output the physical actual value. this is applied if several
CamCons have to be supplied with the same actual value (Master-Slave-Relation).
To make use of this option, the number of programmed outputs must not exceed
the numbers of actual available ones. all following bits appear in ascending
order:
"No" = no actual value output
"Gray" = Actual value put out as Gray code
(physical actual value).
"Bin." = Actual value is put out as binary
code (displayed actual value with factor, offset and direction of rotation) for
DC300, DICAM and CP16/P.
"Exp." = Actual value displayed as Gray
code (for S5 assembly CamCon DC115 only!).
Direction Output:
To have the possibility
to detect a sudden change in the direction of rotation, you are able to define
an output, that switches on for positive rotation directions and off for
negative ones.
Move detection output:
CamCon offers the
possibility to use a zero speed monitor. An output can be defined here, that
switches on once the speed entered at "VR Hyst" is outrun and off,
when the speeds drops below this value.
Direction hysteresis:
To be able to use the
option of monitoring the movement direction as well as the zero speed monitor
(move detection output), a speed level must be set for the switch point of the
output.
Hysteresis of move detection output:
Starting from the
CamCon software of 3/2006 a hysteresis can be entered for the "move
detection output". This value is necessary, to prevent the output from
fluctuating at low speed changes.
Analogue speed:
The CamCon puts out a
voltage proportional to the speed (in the range of 0 up to -10V) at the first
analogue output (clamp 2 at CamCon DC51) for negative direction of rotation and
0 up to +10V voltage for positive rotation direction. The maximum output
voltage of 10V are on hand, if the point "100%" is reached.
Notice:
At the moment, no
integrated analogue outputs are available at the CamCon DC50/51. Analogue
outputs can, nevertheless, be switched on via a CamCon DAC16 digital - analogue
transformer at the CamCon's external interface.
Analogue Cams:
A CamCon cam switch
with analogue output offers you the possibility to output analogue values (cams)
that can be programmed independent of the position. The menu point
"analogue cams" is used to enter the number of analogue output, that
shall be programmed from the CamCon This will in the most cases be exactly the
number of available hardware outputs.
Notice:
If the menu point
"Speed Analogue" is set to "Yes", the first analogue output
is used to display the speed and the maximum number of available cam outputs is
reduced by one.
Inputs:
The number of inputs available for the CamCon is entered here. The number of
inputs should always exactly meet the number of available electrical inputs,
since the short circuit detection of the CamCon reacts to the number of inputs.
Outputs:
The number of outputs
available for the CamCom should not exceed the number of electrical outputs,
since otherwise storage capacity and cycle time is wasted. If an actual value
or speed display shall be used at the outputs, the number of outputs has to be
reduced by the corresponding number of bits.
DTC Outputs:
Enter the maximum
number of available, speed compensated outputs of the CamCon. You should take
care that the number of outputs matches exactly the number of essential
outputs, to save storage capacity and cycle time.
NLDTC (non-linear SC):
Enter the number of outputs with non-linear speed compensation here.
Key-Lock-Inputs:
A signal (+24V DC) at
the input number that was put in here results in locking the programming
interface. It now is impossible to initialise or program the device. This
function is switched off once this number is set to "0".
Error Quit Inputs:
A positive edge (+24V
DC) at the input entered here quits an error message at the CamCon device
"Is-Error": 1,2,3 and 5 but not an "Aus-Error".
Enabling Inputs:
A signal (24V DC) at
the input number entered here, enables the cam outputs. In addition, a
"0" signal locks the outputs. If this number is set to "0"
the enabling function is switched off, and the cam outputs are always enabled
Notice: If the PLC - Logic - Module is
switched on, this does not influence the cam outputs "O" but the
"N" outputs instead.
Attention: Since the enabling function of a
CamCon with direct PLC connection via a CP16P or CP340 respectively a CamCon
DC300 and 1756 DICAM is adopted by the PLC enabling function, the CamCon's
enabling function shut be shut off (set to "0").
Prg. selection adoption Input.:
CamCon offers the
possibility, to choose the desired program number externally via the inputs.
for this purpose, the number of external available programs is entered, which
also determines, how many inputs (Bit) have to be used. One input is now
selected as the transmission impulse "Prg.-Anwahl-Eing." which has to
be chosen in a way that still enough "free" inputs remain to create
the program number. The program number is created as a binary number at the
inputs following the adoption impulse, with the bit of lowest value marking the
input directly after the adoption impulse. This enables shifting the inputs for
the program selection at will.
A 24V
impulse at the adoption impulse input is used to select the created program
number. This impulse must not be triggered sooner than 20ms after the program
number and must have a minimum length of 100ms.
Actual value:
This is the actual
value at which the programm switches.
Type:
At the moment, three
different types of program changes are available:
"slow"
The chosen program is
created cam by cam. This type of program change does not need any additional
RAM memory, can nevertheless, result in malfunctions at the machine when executed
during operation at full capacity. In this case, the CamCon's security output
is shut down awhile.
"direct"
The chosen program is
created cam by cam in a buffer store, and the changed at abruptly. This type of
program change needs twice as much storage, having the advantage that the
outputs are never undefined. The CamCon's security output does not get switched
off.
"on
actual value"
The chosen program is
created cam by cam in a buffer store, where it remains "waiting"
until the machine passes a specific actual value, after which the program
change is executed abruptly. Also this type of program change needs twice as
much storage, having the advantage that the outputs are never undefined. The
CamCon's security output does not get switched off.
Here
you have the possibility to define program respective product-spanning cams.
This can be necessary, if e.g. different products, that have only slight
differences considering the cam program, are processed at your machine. You can
save enormous amounts of cam storage capacity (EE-Prom), since the cams are
independent of the product and do not have to be programmed several times.
Master
module:
If this function shall be used, the master module has to be switched to
"On".
Program number:
Now enter the master
program number, which is used to save the master cams. This can be any program
number from 0 up to 32767.
Outputs belonging to the master program:
Now, define which
output respectively which cam track is used as a master cam. This is done by
activating the checkbox.
For
the programming of the master cam, use the "programming" menu and
choose the desired output number.
Physical inputs:
Feed in the number of physical inputs here.
E.g. for a CamCon DC300 this would be 8 inputs, for a DC90, 126 or a CamCon
1756DICAM without input position 0. These values are only displayed during the
PLC configuration.
Physical outputs:
Feed in the number of
physical outputs here.
E.g. for a CamCon DC300 this would be 24 outputs, for a DC16 16 outputs or for
a CamCon 1756DICAM 24 outputs. These values are only displayed during the PLC
configuration.
CP-Type:
If your CamCon is
connected to a 16 Profibus (CP16/P) or Interbus (CP16/I) module, please switch
to CP 16/P/IO.
Slave-Address:
Profibus address.
CP - inputs:
In addition to the in-
and outputs physically available at the CamCon, the CP16 module is able to
simulate in- and outputs, which can be controlled or monitored by an PLC.
Be
careful:
The simulated inputs,
controlled by the PLC, must not be directly queried in the cam switch or the
PLC, since they are not defined (to enable an accurate establishment of the
communication between the CamCon CP16 and the CamCon cam switch). These
inputs therefore have to be connected with the special input 5 of the PLC -
Logic - module "AND". This is set to "1" once a
communication with the CP16 was successfully established.
CP – outputs:
In addition to the in-
and outputs physically available at the CamCon, the CP16 module is able to
simulate in- and outputs, which can be controlled or monitored by an PLC.
Be
careful:
The simulated inputs,
controlled by the PLC, must not be directly queried in the cam switch or the
PLC, since they are not defined (to enable an accurate establishment of the
communication between the CamCon CP16 and the CamCon cam switch). These
inputs therefore have to be connected with the special input 5 of the PLC -
Logic - module "AND". This is set to "1" once a
communication with the CP16 was successfully established.
PLC - Logic - module - configuration
PLC module:
Initially you are able to switch the PLC logic-module on or off
"Off":
The PLC logic module is
switched off. If the process for which the CamCon is used does not require the
PLC, we highly recommend this option, since this will shorten the cycle time.
"On":
The PLC logic module is
switched on.
"On/Ram":
The PLC - logic -
module is switched on. In addition, the flag range M is saved remanently
respectively with mains failure protection. For this purpose, a difference
between "Standard" and "High?Speed" is made. The
"Standard" version saves the remanent data every 60 minutes in the
standard EEPROM storage. The "High Speed" version saves the data
every minute using a normal IC of the device (optional: HSR in the unit
configuration menu).
After having switched on the PLC logic module, enter the following values as
necessary. You are only allowed to enter a multiple of 8. All entries will be
rounded to full steps of eight.
M-registers:
0..248, number of flags
in the M – range.
X-registers:
0..248, number of flags
in the X – range.
Times/counter:
0..200, maximum number
of time-/counter-functions arrays that can be used . The number of selected
times/counters are divided into time- and counter function arrays. For a counter
with reset input, two internal arrays are needed.
For
eight counters with reset input, the value times/counters must be set to 16
(times/counters = 16). The number of times/counters actually used is displayed
in the following brackets.
Virtual inputs:
0..200, number of
inputs within the V - range.
Special inputs:
0..96, number of inputs
within the S - range.
Shift:
0..200, number of
shift-registers that can be used in the PLC - Logic - module. The number of
shift registers actually used is displayed in the following brackets.
Max. shift register's length:
256..999999, maximum
available number of shift segments in the shift register. Since the shift
register is clocked synchronous to the actual value, this value has to be
entered using the same unit as the actual value display (e.g. degree or mm.).
Note: The input will always be rounded up
by the CamCon to a multiple of the position measuring system's resolution.
DC 300 Process alert:
The CamCon DC300 can, once
an edge (no matter if positive or negative) at the output 1 is detected,
trigger a process alert / interrupt at the S7 CPU (OB40).
For this purpose, choose "Yes" in this menu point.
Cam
programming is started by clicking either the cam track or the "edit"
button.
This
gives you the possibility to deposit general information on your machine in the
CamCon, like e.g. the machine number or the output status. For this purpose, 7
lines consisting of 7 digits are reserved.
CamCon device option
At the moment 4 options for the CamCons are available for order:
1. PLC - logic - module
2. PLC - logic - module with text display.
3. PLC - logic - module with text display and remanent storage capacity
Notice: The "remanent storage" is used to save meter readings and
flag bits protected from power outages. For this, the hardware option EEProm –
storage upgrade "C" is required.
4. PLC - logic - module with text display and tool – protection
Chose here the options available with your CamCon:
On the CamCon’s type-plate the installed options can be detected from the last
two digits of the order number (0 = no option / S = PLC – logic – module+ text
display + tool protection). The remanent option can be detected from the
character C at the storage extension of the CamCon (e.g. DC51 S5C24002M or DC16
S5C04S).
Simulation
This gives you the possibility, to simulate the encoder, path measuring system,
hardware inputs (I) as well as the Black – Plan inputs (V) of an S7 or
ControlLogix in “Offline”-programming.

symbol data necessary for a project can be fed in here.
This
is very important for the PLC - Logic function.
